One of these great ladies brought me some daffodils for "Daffodil Day" (which I admit to not knowing about before this) And she brought them to me on a day in which I needed this reminder that it is not all about me!
What a lovely spot of Spring-ness in my kitchen!
I took this picture to post about my pretty flowers and really great friends. And I realized this is truly not a representation of what my house really looks like - pretty and tidy and clean. Really, don't start thinking my whole house looks this good.
My house actually looks more like this picture of the same kitchen, same time - you might, if you look carefully, even see the daffodils in a small oasis of pretty, tidy, and clean. In my own defense, I have not been home at all today - doctor's appointments in Boston with my Mother-in-law.
My fantastic husband stayed home and had all the kiddos outside on this absolutely gorgeous day! Obviously, they all have come in long enough to leave trails and remnants....

If I am good, I will try to post an update when I finish picking up this mess! Incentive is a good thing! Cuz, really, my kitchen looks good when it is clean!
UPDATED TO ADD THE FOLLOWING:
So, after some much needed help from my younger two daughters, with Dad taking the boys away, I got my kitchen to look like this: (which is the ideal, not total daily reality)
I might have to try this 'post-for-everyone-to-see-the-mess' next week with another room that needs a blitzkrieg!
Thanks, Paula, for the incentive to clean around those gorgeous flowers! You are the best!
