another 4-H weekend

This past Saturday was our 4-H County Visual Presentation Day.

The visual presentation is an oral report on a subject. The requirements are: at least 3 posters, props, and a 5 to 7 minute, memorized, speech.

Isabel (a junior) and Julianne (a cloverbud) presented.

Julianne's presentation was on mules.

She did real well with memorizing her speech. Her eye-contact and volume were great. She will be doing great things next year when she becomes a junior!

Isabel's presentation was on coral reefs.

Despite the fact that her presentation was under time (2.5 minutes instead of at least 5 minutes) she got a blue ribbon and is heading to the Massachusetts State competition the end of this month.

She will have to add more to the presentation and come up with some more props, but overall, the judges comments were quite positive relative to her eye-contact, memorization, content and volume.
