A Crafty Advent Wreath

I actually found a crafty advent thing to post to Emily's party! (click on the picture above to go see more crafty things to do!)

We did this advent wreath 2 years ago. I didn't make it last year and the littles reminded me early enough that I actually got this started tonight. - my brother and his family were up from Pennsylvania and we had an impromptu party at my house today.

You need paper - at least 4 sheets of green and whatever other colors you would like. We use construction paper, but you can use whatever colored paper you have on hand.

I don't have a picture of the wreath part - I just cut out 4 semi-circles to tape together to make a wreath shape.

During the Advent season, whoever comes to the house traces his/her hand on paper and the hand gets added to the wreath. (This can be very confusing, but fun, when you have a whole bunch of people show up at the same time!)

My aunt - busy helping all the littles cut out the hands
As our Advent prayers are said, we remember, especially, to pray for all those people who are a part of our wreath.
The beginning of our wreath

By Christmas, you will have a very large wreath to help decorate your house.

Have fun!
