This past weekend we had our local Catholic homeschool conference. This is the fourth year I've gone with a great friend.
The past few years, my friend and I make a weekend of it. We head out Friday morning and come home on Sunday afternoon. The weekend usually involves many trips to the National Divine Mercy Shrine in Stockbridge, MA with the conference thrown in on Saturday.
This year we were not able to get our usual condo for the weekend, so we only had Friday for the Shrine.
And what a visit it was!
We got there in time for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at 1pm with Confession (and can I say, I loved the priest I had!)

Then, there was Mass at 2pm.
The Solemnity of St John the Baptist.
Yep, it was awesome!
And then Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament again at 3pm with the Divine Mercy Chaplet.
And then: we could have all religious articles blessed and veneration of the relic of St Faustina.
Three hours in one of the most beautiful chapels...

A truly lovely day. We ended up giggling like little girls who got to meet their favorite rock star! Seriously!
My friend says we are 'Catholic Nerds'.
I say: 'It could be worse!'
