The Alphabet: take two

I found this in drafts from about 2 months ago.. we are still on H (we are slow) (I love his expressions when he is working on his 'school work')

I am trying to do things with Lucas. It is so hard. I just want him to play somewhere else while I try to teach the other 3 something, anything at all. But, he has other plans. He wants to learn to read; NOW! He wants to write; NOW! and he wants to do school with the big kids. UGH!

So I have a bunch of workbooks, which he thinks need to be done: NOW! and I decided to bring back the Alphabet Path. I am in no way doing the path which Elizabeth wrote, which I did try to do with Julianne with Lucas last year. We got up to F. I am just concentrating on a letter every week to two weeks and working in some crafts and reading for him. Just workbooks are boring!

We did manage to get the letter G finished this week. Hopefully we can do some fun stuff for H next week.

Gg

Green

Lucas found the green buttons and green sparkly things and then decorated the letters G which I had printed on cardstock. Sorting and glue - nothing better!

Goats

I am hoping we can finish this alphabet book we started last year. Each letter is used to make something that begins with that letter. G is for GOAT!

Glitter Glue

Nothing like glitter. I can't stand the mess. However, glitter glue made us both happy! I printed the letter G on paper and he used the glitter glue to trace the letters.

And something is sticking! He keeps looking for the letter G on anything that has words. Yippee!

A New Start?

A test of sorts.....  I think I'm going to try something old-new.  It has been too many years since my last post. The world's differ...
