First:: yes, I am still alive
Second: I finally get back to checking on my little piece of cyber-real estate - mostly because my oldest, my mom AND my husband have made comments to my lack of posting recently; and discover a very nice lady has nominated my little space for this: (waaaay back in September!)
Lisa at Happy in Dole Valley is such a great role model. We met when she made this really nice comment on something I had crocheted. Since then, I have spent way too much time checking out what she is doing. She is a fantastic baker (check out her Monday Muffins - YUM) and an amazing creator of things made from yarn (oh, I aspire to be half that good). When you have a few hours minutes, go check out her space: you won't be sorry!
So, I guess there are rules for this little shindig:
- Copy the Beautiful Blogger Award logo and place it in your post.
- Write something about the blogger who nominated you and link back to their blog.
- Share 7 things about yourself.
- Nominate other bloggers for the Beautiful Blogger Award, and comment on their blogs to let them know.
oy - 7 things about me? I think I hate this part - does that count as #1? yes, it does...
2. I 'became' a Catholic at the ripe old age of 29 while 7 months pregnant with my second child (which explains why there are no pictures of the event.)
3. I hate having my picture taken (hate, hate, hate)
4. I cannot drink from my cup if anyone else has drunk from it (yeah, even the hubby and my children)
5. I am totally addicted to NCIS and Criminal Minds
6. I am so looking forward to my 50th birthday in 3 years. (yeah, I really am!)
7. I have to drive. I'll give up the driver's seat to the husband, if I have to, but I really prefer to drive: don't care how far or when, but I like the control (which could be a whole post!)
and for my nominees:
Mary over at letlovebesincere
Diana at Azoresgal
Mary at Better Than Eden
ok - back to my extremely hectic life - hopefully I will get back later tonight and get some of these pictures off my my camera and onto my computer and update here.

I was wondering where you've been! And you are just the sweetest...thank you so much for the compliment!! I'm flattered! Ooohh... and I am the EXACT same way in the car. I need to be in control and it's just better for everyone if I'm the driver in the family!
ReplyDeleteWhere, oh, where have I been? Life's been fuller, more busy than normal, leaving me little time to get on the computer and catch up on my blog reading. You've been one busy lady yourself! Look at all that canning you did! I have to say that I'm a little jealous of the grapes. My sister's in-laws have been our source of free ones each year, but due to a heavy pruning, there just weren't enough grapes to share this year. Thankfully, we still have a couple jars left from last year.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Karen, for the kind words! It's been a blessing getting to know you here in blogland. :)
Blessings!
Lisa
