* Friends who come take wet bedding to wash for me
* Friends who offer their homes for washing large quantities of my dirty laundry (which due to the 1st of this list, was not necessary!)

Beauty in the Ordinary

Tacos, probably tonight. Pork chops on the grill on Wed. A new way to cook chicken? not sure. Shrimp on Friday.
Praying
For my friend at church suffering from cancer;
For Frank's uncles, one had surgery last year for stomach cancer, that the drs got it all and he has a great recovery
For family
For my friends who are adopting children - all of them.
Pondering
How do I live my life? Too much? Not enough? Very busy and crowded in my head. Lots of time to ponder things when waiting for food to process in the canner.
Reading
School books.
Crafting
It's is done. The baby sweater. Even passed off to the new mom. I found the greatest little buttons (owls!) for the little thing. Very cute. Not as cute as the recipient, though:
The next thing: not sure yet. I really haven't had time. My crafting is now on paper: school schedules, cleaning schedules, homemaking schedules, schedules for my schedules: you get the idea! For my friends who are adopting children - all of them.

Looking Ahead
I don't want to. Busy.
We are taking a break this week on Friday to meet with friends at a local beach to have a play date (ok, it's a mom-date, but we will let the kids in on it too.)
I hope to get to a local art museum to get back into the art study on Wednesday.
Tuesday there is a storytime at the library - maybe we will get there.
Friday is our monthly pot-luck dinner and speaker at our church. The speaker is a friend of mine and always fun to listen to and the food is always delicious! Looking forward to this.

nope, don't have one yet - will try to get some pictures posted later at some point this week, I hope. (see busy comment above!)

Beach date sounds delightful. Wish I could come!
ReplyDeleteSoutheast Massachusetts in September: not exactly typical beach weather, but we are not going for beach stuff anyway!
Deletethanks for the visit
I can relate to pondering the business of daily life and wondering what's too much! +
ReplyDeleteYou and LuAnne should get together and have a canning party!
ReplyDeleteoooo - a canning party! I would love to have a canning party. I'm in - where?
DeleteYes, and then ship all the 'leftovers' to the rest of us! :)
ReplyDeleteah, you presume I will have leftovers - I actually gave birth to locusts who devour anything remotely edible as soon as it is available! :)
DeleteKaren, I've nominated you for a blog award, stop on over to check it out. :)
