A Whalin' We Will Go

I am going to take a page from Summer's book and do some speed blogging catch-up: little amount of words, lots of pictures! (and seriously, if you bop over there - doesn't she have the most beautiful children? oh, I would steal them from her if I were 3,000 miles closer!)

This past Thursday (11-15) we went to the New Bedford Whaling Museum. I had never been there. What a great place!

Posing with a harpoon gun outside the museum entrance

Our retired Deacon is a docent there and he took us for a tour of the place.  (And a very special friend he is: he played a very large part in my conversion to Catholicism 18 years ago and then baptized our next 5 children.)

Deacon John is such a good sport to agree to be seen with my motley crew

watching a movie about Azorean whaling
(how nice that my Mother-in-law came with us!)

Random shots from the day

We are so going back; with Daddy the next time!

A New Start?

A test of sorts.....  I think I'm going to try something old-new.  It has been too many years since my last post. The world's differ...
