My Weekend - Part 2

After our 4-H morning, we got home after lunch and I had a bit of a melt-down.

I really can't stand clutter. And with keeping 5 children home for school, clutter is inevitable. I couldn't take it any more!

I went through the 2 locations that have been making me a candidate for Bedlam: The children's bedrooms and my family room.

I really should have taken pictures of the before and after. But, really, even after previously posting pictures of my house in rather disgusting states; this was just too much to record for posterity!

But, the bedrooms are now cleaned out of all things that do not belong: which means the bed, bureau and bedside table are left. Not much else.

I also ended up spending 5 hours cleaning out my office area of the family room. Yep, 5 hours to clean out a space big enough for my desk and a bookcase. But, for the first time in a very long time, there is not a pile the size of Mt Everest behind my desk, my files are up to date, and I can see the desk!

A good Saturday!

And on Sunday, Frank and I were blessed to be the Godparents of the boys good friends of ours are adopting. What a wonderful experience!

Saying prayers with Our Lady before the Baptism
The one on the left is my Godson and the one
on the right is Frank's Godson.

We are sharing Godparent duties with good firends
of ours. Fun!

And I am still not taking pictures of the house!

  1. Good for you! Five hours? My desk area takes days! Oh, for doing a big clean out like that again soon.

A New Start?

A test of sorts.....  I think I'm going to try something old-new.  It has been too many years since my last post. The world's differ...
