What is your weapon of choice?

We now have 2 favorite weapons!

The bow and arrow and guns!

My friend found an archery instructor and arranged for 4 weeks of instruction at her house. The 3 youngest are taking this for the next 3 weeks. The first day was this past Monday.

Considering Mr Bruce had 10 children aged from 7.5 to 12, he did a great job keeping their attention. The moms were very impressed with how much the children paid attention and followed directions - a very important thing to do when dealing with weapons.

The other weapon is Nathaniel's choice: the shotgun and/or rifle.  He and Frank were trap shooting this past weekend and Nathaniel was invited to join the local gun club's junior shooting team. His first practice was yesterday.

Sorry for the picture quality. I was sneaking pictures with my phone - wouldn't do to get caught taking pictures of the new addition to the team.

These were of Nathaniel after his shooting getting his feedback from one of the coaches. Apparently he is a natural and did fantastic his first time shooting. Fortunately, the coaches told us NOT to buy anything other than his own eye and ear protection (which he already had) as the club has jackets and gloves and rifles for him to use until he gets to the point where he is entering competitions and wants to keep going. That was good to hear, because as we were watching some of the other members get their gear ready all I could think was "ka-ching!"

I was also rather impressed when the coaches told Nathaniel that their goal was not to rack up points and keep track of competitions won, but rather to make sure he is improving and meeting his own personal goals regardless of where that leaves him in the placement against other competitors.

Yep, we are now all about the weapons!
