Kentucky Anyone

Um, speaking of 4-H and horses. Did I tell you about Catherine?

 

Well, way back when - I think April - the girls participated in the Horse Round-Up for the state. Catherine was on the Senior county team for Hippology, Horse Bowl and Horse Judging. Isabel was on the Junior county team for the same events. We traveled out the Central Massachusetts for the weekend long competition.

 

The junior team did well. BUT - the Senior Team kicked butt and then some. All 5 seniors who participated on the 3 teams were all from the same 4-H club here in our town. They have known each other for quite a few years now, and get along great... which is a good thing as they ALL are going to Kentucky in November for the National 4-H Round-Up!!

 

The 5 seniors from our county. B, K, K, Zach and Catherine.
B and Catherine will be competing in the Horse Bowl Competition;
the boys, K and Zach, will be competing in the Horse Judging; and
the middle K will be competing in Hippology.

 

 

Miss Betti, the 4-H leader who is very much responsible for all the
knowledge these seniors have, was probably more excited than
the seniors!

 

 

We were very proud of Catherine as she came in 1st place for Horse Bowl (a Jeopardy style competition about all things horse) Of course, that means she has weekly practices all summer to get ready. So glad she can drive herself now!

 

We are looking forward to the Regional competition in October as we will not be traveling with Catherine to Kentucky.
